Assembly was much more difficult than it should have been, mainly because the pieces were sloppily manufactured at the fittings. I had to use a hammer and some grease to get the pieces to fit together.This table works great in front of motion furniture because the footrest can go up without having to move the table. Exactly what I was looking for.Inferior mfg. Placed ice maker on top.Simple to install just be careful when you lay down the temper glass it's the last step but l almost broke it because it fell through the first try, it would be wise to have a second person help with that.I bought this to match the matching coffee table.. put a nice modern table lamp on it and it looks great.. this collection is inexpensive but really nice.. what I like most about it is that you never walk into corners of this table or the coffee table because the borders are bright chrome and you SEE IT.. I have had glass coffee tables that were high end glam but you could not see the pointy glass on all edges and it was not pleasant walking into those edges! My legs are loving this Avenue Six Yield collection.. Well worth it.. I highly recommend...I bought this table four years ago and after scratches and dings, it was time for a replacement. The package arrived fine, and everything seemed to be going well. I had a sinking feeling that I shouldn't throw out the old table right away "just in case," and boy am I glad I didn't! As we were putting the new table together, we noticed the metal was warped and couldn't hold tension from the screws. Each time we tried to set it up, the table was wobbly and would not sit evenly. After over an hour of different ways to fix the issue, we called it a day and resigned ourselves to the fact that the price may be worth it for the new glass so we placed the top on our old table and trashed the new frame.It's a nice looking table. I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because of the build quality. It wobbles a lo and the black glass doesn't fit perfectly. There's a large gap between the dark glass and the chrome edges. The chrome legs have some manufacturer marks and blemishes if you look closely. Either way though I like the table a lot and from a couple feet away it looks flawlessSo I get this table thinking it looked good in the picture. At well over $100, it's not super expensive but there are certainly cheaper coffee tables out there. Let's just say I expected something of higher quality than this rickety digrace of table that I received. It's not any better than something you could get for $50 or $60 at Target. The chrome frame is none too sturdy and the glass doesn't seem very thick. I'll have to be extra careful when setting coffee mugs or any hard objects down on this no good, shoddy table. Most annoying of all about this coffee table is the fact that the manufacturer didn't drill the screwholes into the frame properly, so what you get are screws that don't fit the screwholes. That sure makes it a challenge to assemble, especially considering the holes are drilled into metal frame, making it tough to modify the holes or to drill your own holes. I suppose this is what a person gets when he orders furniture online. It looked good in the picture, after all. Learn from my mistakes, folks. Never again.Great n elegant product still using mine after almost 3years of purchaseIt arrived fast, looks great and was easy to put together. Ordered the matching side table!
