Not to sure about the quality of these lids. The price was great but the lids felt thin in comparison to other canning lids I’ve used. I do have to say here that the majority of these lids I used for canning this year worked fine, however I had a few that when the jars would seal a crease would pop up on one side of the lid. As if the lid was too big or flimsy and would buckle up on the side. They would make the popping noise and the center would collapse down but on one side there would be an upward crease. Of course these jars were placed in the refrigerator to be ate first as I wasn’t sure if an adequate seal was achieved. I still have several of the lids and plan to use again next year but will definitely pay close attention to the seal.These lids are the same weight as the Kerr and ball lids. Pulled out the scale and checked. It is possible the ball lids have become thinner.As long as I don’t tighten the rim too tight I have not had buckling issues.I have use these in water bath as well as pressure canning.What choice do we have when American prices are outrageous if you can find them. I suspect people are hoarding them and trying to resell them at three times and four times the cost.Do they think we’re stupid? if you have to pay $.50 to a dollar for a lid you might as will go down and buy your green beans at the grocery store on sale.Fit like we wanted them to.Waste of money, my time, and likely spoilage of food I worked hard to grow. We bought these when canning lids in the store were hard to find. I just used them for the first time tonight and EVERY single one buckled and not a single one sealed. The remaining Ball and Pur lids I had worked like a charm. I’m extremely disappointed.The canning lids seem to be of good quality and seal as expected but the edges are so sharp, they will cut your fingers if you are not careful.They were no good lost 4 out of 7 jars of green beans they buckeld in the hot bath sent them back not taking a chance on my tomatos l have been canning a long time they were the worst flats ever usedNo canning lids are available around here, so in desperation I ordered these. We have canned over 40 quarts of various things, and we have only had one failure. That’s good enough for me to give 5 stars.Loved the flats! Will definitely buy again next canning season
