Definitely the most well-known and popular of all puma shoes, this sport classic is one of the shoe that built the success of the German sports brand. As part of every street community from the 80's on, the suede has even been involved in historical matters on a global scale. The suede classic emboss features an embossed form stripe with added splatter graphic to the midsole. PUMA is the global athletic brand that successfully fuses influences from sport, lifestyle and fashion. PUMA's unique industry perspective delivers the unexpected in sport-lifestyle footwear, apparel and accessories, through technical innovation and revolutionary design.
I read a lot of mixed reviews about Puma sizing. This is my first pair. I have worn a 10 1/2 for my entire adult life. These fit perfectly. I don't know what all the issues other people had were. Maybe they got fake shoes, or maybe many of them are the same people who would find something to complain about in Heaven. Mine were unbelievably comfortable right out of the box. I wouldn't want to walk 10 miles in them, but that's fine. That's not what they were made for. You just can't beat the suede, in my opinion. It looks to me like most of the big companies are moving towards all man made materials, and they are just not as comfortable. There is no other way to put it. I have been wearing etnies exclusively since 1997. My last few pairs have been man made faux suede type shoes, and they just aren't comfortable. I haven't had a comfortable pair of etnies in years. I think they quit making suede shoes altogether a few years ago. I finally decided I've given them enough chances and enough of my business. The PETA people can have them. My only complaint, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that these shoes are so thin, they allow the back of my pants-leg-cuff to drag on the ground when I walk. I know a lot of people don't mind that, and I suspect many of them like the look of their pants as they are being destroyed. I do not. If I decide not to buy anymore Pumas it won't be because of quality or comfort. It will be solely because I hate it when my pants drag on the ground. Lastly, because I read so many reviews suggesting the reviewer had received fake shoes, I would like to point out that there are numerous Puma factories around the world. While most are in Asia (China and Vietnam are the main/largest), they have factories all over. I don't recall all of them. If you have doubts about your shoe's authenticity, go to Puma's website. They list where all of their factories are. Don't just look on some forum and take the word of the Internet-know-it-alls. If they knew half as much as they claimed, they wouldn't be spending all of their time giving bad advice online.
